Unfortunately, once an item leaves our facility, we have no control over the shipping process. If you accept a shipment that has sustained damage, neither you nor we can make a claim for the damage, so it is very important that you examine your shipment BEFORE accepting it.  Here’s how to properly receive your Pond King products: - Inspect all boxes/pallets and make sure you have all the pieces to your order. - Check the bill of lading from the delivery company to make sure you have all your boxes/pallets. - Report any missing boxes/pallets to the driver and NOTE ON THE BILL OF LADING. Get it in writing! - Next, inspect all the boxes/pallets for anything that looks like damage. If there is a punctured or smashed box/pallet, open it, and make sure that there is no damage. In the event of damage, you must report it to the driver and NOTE ON THE BILL OF LADING. If you do not note the damage on the bill of lading, you are confirming that you received the goods in perfect condition, and you release both Pond King and the shipping company of any liability on the shipment. Pond King is not responsible for any damage caused during shipping by a third party. If we are delivering your boat or dock, that’s a different story. #### What qualifies as a commercial address? At the very least, “commercial address” means a business location with easy access for 18-wheelers that has the ability to unload over-sized pallets onto a loading dock. But some restrictions apply … according to the shipping companies. The list of exclusions includes camps, construction sites, country clubs, estates, farms, military bases, nuclear power plants, ranches, mine sites, mini storage warehouses, schools, universities, airports, trade shows, jails and marinas.  Sometimes the easiest thing to do is to ship to a carrier transfer station. If you’re not sure if your address qualifies, please contact us.  ## Route #### What is Route? We’ve partnered with Route—a package protection and tracking solution—to give our customers the best possible delivery experience. Route offers a few options to improve the your experience. #### **Route Protect** Route Protect is premium package protection for your online orders.
