Solution 1
Check to make sure all connections are good between battery and timer
Solution 2
Reach in and see if you can turn the throwplate by hand. Does it spin freely? You’ll want to double check that there’s not something stuck in there causing it to not spin.
Solution 3
Check to make sure the set screw that holds the throwplate onto the shaft hasn’t rattled loose. If it’s missing, replace the set screw.
Solution 4
Try a new battery in the feeder. Sometimes it just doesn’t have enough juice to spin the throwplate.
Solution 5
Replace the timer. The timers have a 5 year warranty period and as long as it doesn’t have any signs of damage or misuse (water damage, corrosion, etc.), we should be able to swap it out for you. We would pay for shipping the new one to you if you’ll pay for shipping the old one back to us.
Solution 6
Replace the motor.
